For genuinely anxious patients, sedation makes necessary dentistry possible. Intravenous or inhalation sedation keeps you conscious and able to respond, but deeply relaxed — most patients remember little of the appointment afterwards. It is a regulated, carefully monitored service, and for many people it is the bridge back to regular care after years of avoidance.
01
An honest pre-assessment
Your medical history, your anxiety and your options are discussed unhurriedly — sometimes a calm practice and a careful dentist are enough; sedation is offered, never pushed.
02
Monitored throughout
On the day, the sedation is administered and monitored continuously by trained clinicians while the dental work is completed.
03
Recover with an escort
You rest until the team is satisfied, then go home with a responsible adult and written aftercare — no driving or important decisions that day.
Good to know
Sedation requires a little planning: you will need an escort home and a quiet rest of the day. Many previously anxious patients find that after one or two sedated visits, ordinary appointments become manageable again.
